Hang in there!

Kirsten is also way into hanging on things. So I couldn't resist taking this shot while she was in the tub. We sent this to Mark and Becca in the MTC with the caption "Hang in there." Hopefully it didn't get censored by the mailroom.

Play-Doh Jewelry

This morning we were playing with some homemade Play-Doh and Kirsten and I (Spencer) decided to come up with our own new line of jewelry. Kirsten has been way into rings and bracelets lately.

Look at the size of that rock!

Cutlers at the Beach

We took a day excursion to Topsail Beach (apparently it's pronounced Top Soul) which is about a 2.5 hour drive from Durham. Our friends the Birdnos came with us who are also in the BME program at Duke. It was nice because Kirsten had a friend to play with, and we could trade off taking care of the children while the others went boogie boarding in the waves. The Atlantic ocean is very warm so it was lots of fun.

Here is Kirsten enjoying a plum.

Brooke, at seven and a half months pregnant, is still a surfing daredevil

Boogie Boarding -- note how I'm eating salt water while Brooke rides like a pro.

You can find more incriminating photos of us on the Birdno's web page here.

Kirsten is a comedian

Kirsten has become quite the talker lately. She says "I wanna [help, bottle, nurse, wa-wa, swim, etc]" and little phrases like "I'm thirsty" and "I'm funny." She loves to laugh. Her latest joke is to answer questions "uhhh.... no" and then laugh. Here is a little clip of a recent interview with her (3.5 mB so be patient):
